Leaders in green power

In 2020 we earned a spot on the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) National Top 100 list of the largest green power users and made the Top 30 list for companies generating and using green power on-site.

In 2020 we used nearly 147 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of green electricity. That’s more than 54% of the total power needs of URW in the USA, and equivalent to the annual electricity use of more than 13,000 average American homes.

This helps us to reduce the negative health impacts of air emissions, including those related to ozone, fine particles, acid rain, and regional haze.

Not only does renewable electricity reduce our emissions footprint, it sends a message to everyone that using green power is smart business.
