Part of a global extension-renovation project worth more than 130 million euros, this vibrant new Dining & Leisure area has 12 restaurants and a cinema, all built to exacting sustainability parameters.

Its unique architecture and design truly open the centre up to the outdoors. All food concepts have indoor terraces with large windows to let in natural light, while some also offer outdoor seating.

In addition to a varied international offer for all tastes (KFC, Taco Bell, Brasayleña, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Poke House, Foster’s Hollywood, Ginos and Vip’s), Garbera is committed to local flavours, with three new concepts. Saizar, an innovative cider bar, and Ogi Berri, a trendy bakery, are setting up for the first time in a shopping centre. Terracity, a Mediterranean restaurant concept, has been specially created for Garbera by a well-known local foodie. Enhancing the leisure experience, the Cinesa cinema offers its “Luxe” concept, with seven screens equipped with high-end, reclining seats.

After the opening of 1,200 underground parking spaces in June 2020, followed by a brand-new outdoor area with a children’s playground and a 350 m² biodiversity area with indigenous trees, work is still in full swing. A further 8,000 m² of retail space is still under construction among the global extension of 20,000 m², which will be added to the existing 36,000 m² space. The Garbera transformation will be completed in March 2023, providing citizens with an unprecedented experience in the Basque Country.
