Staying connected in 2020

We are all looking forward to the time when we’re able to be together again. However, the Covid-19 pandemic moved many of our daily interactions online.

As a way to stay connected, to continue to share memorable experiences, and – true to our purpose – to find new ways to Reinvent Being Together, we launched a series of campaigns through the year.

The first of these was #KindnessTogether. This was a digital campaign focused around keeping in touch with our communities, reuniting families and friends online, and bringing everyone some much-needed joy, creativity, fun and inspiration during lockdown.

In the spirit of partnership and collaboration that characterises the way we operate across the Group, we then went on to create our #WorkingTogether campaign.

Through in-situ print and digital communication, including social media coverage, #WorkingTogether helped us to keep in contact with customers and partners as the year progressed, and gave us a fresh platform for bringing people together.

As a result of the success of this campaign we went on to devise a Working Together charter that emphasises our common effort to reassure visitors that our centres are completely safe.

In each centre where the charter is signed, centre management, service providers and retailers have all agreed to co-sign the document. It will ensure that customers and partners are well informed, everyone is protected, and everyone is compliant with strict hygiene and social distancing rules.

Our third campaign of the year, #BackTogether, vibrantly captured the desire we all share to be reunited, spend time with family and friends, reclaim public spaces and create joyful memories.

Across fashion, beauty, food, leisure and homeware, this campaign highlighted key segments in our destinations, and provided each centre with the opportunity to showcase retailers.

When the time comes, we know that people everywhere will relish being back together again.
