Global action on COVID
The whole world has been affected by Covid-19, and URW teams everywhere have been active in supporting communities with the challenges they face.
This year we had two main aims: fighting the spread of Covid-19, and protecting our communities by providing aid and support to the most vulnerable.
In France, the USA and Germany we made our locations available to health and military authorities, to stockpile materials, set up testing sites and field hospitals, and serve other medical and sanitary purposes.
In Spain we worked with local hospitals, providing much needed extra bed space in our hotels, as well as water tanks for sanitation on public premises, and support for the procurement of supplies and equipment.
Our teams have helped to organise blood donor drives (USA), supported counselling for victims of abuse (France), provided meals, shelter and support for the most vulnerable in big cities (USA), assisted with the procurement of PPE and supported elderly populations (Czech Rep.), and facilitated home food deliveries (Netherlands).
There have been a great many more fantastic contributions besides. Every part of the URW Group has tried to help all our communities come through this difficult period in the best way they can.
