Europe stands together

Across central and eastern Europe our teams have been using their in-depth knowledge of their communities and of our assets to help local authorities and NGOs find fast and effective solutions to the challenges of Covid-19.

In Poland, Wroclavia fought against a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) shortage by supporting a local initiative to 3D print visors. Wroclavia, Galeria Mokotów and Westfield Arkadia supported paramedics in procuring food, medical supplies and a huge range of equipment.

The Westfield Arkadia team also backed the Package of Good project, helping households who face very challenging situations due to job loss, disability, mobility problems or poor nutrition. Galeria Wileńska helped to provide internet access and laptops so more children could benefit from homeschooling.

Aupark supported crowdfunding for PPE in Slovakia. In the Czech Republic Westfield Chodov in Prague and Metropole Zličín raised funds for local charities helping vulnerable mothers, children and the elderly.

Across the Czech Republic, Centrum Černý Most used our digital and social media expertise to communicate essential health messaging. We supported a nonstop, free of charge telephone help line for senior citizens and backed a Czech non-profit aiding the victims of domestic violence.

By working with local charities, NGOs and governments, we’re standing together with our communities.
